Lightning Protection Systems

A Lightning Protection System ensures safety of a building and its occupants in case of a direct hit by lightning. For a lightning protection system to function as designed in the event of lightning strike, it is essential that this system is maintained and tested correctly. Therefore lightning protection systems require regular testing and inspection to ensure  compliance with the relevant standards.

Our certified engineers undertake detailed inspection and rigorous testing of existing earthing and lightning protection systems. This includes a visual survey of the conductor system, and all its component parts followed by electrical resistance testing of the isolated earth locations and the conductor’s continuity and resistance to earth.

Following such tests a comprehensive test report is prepared  including photographic evidence of the condition of the system together with the recommended corrective measured. Upon completion a compliance certificate is issued.
